Tuning at the Governor's Mansion!

I had the recent honor of tuning the two seven-foot Steinway grands at the Governor's Mansion. These are pianos that are usually in the care of one of the countries top technicians: Steve Brady. Steve had his hands full at the Aspen Music Festival having to oversee the servicing of 180 Steinways!! I was pleased that Steve asked me to fill in for him.

It was a funny coincidence that later that week I tuned for Secretary of State, Sam Reed! We've also had the pleasure of servicing the old upright in the men's lounge of the House side of the state legislature, and also the old Bluthner grand piano in the reception room. Being in the reception room was like tuning in a palace! Good fun.

It's beginning to feel like I have a government job!
